Matthew B. Newbold, OD

Dr. Matthew B. Newbold graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2016 with a BS in Human Biology. He pursued his medical training at Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honors society. He further studied ocular disease, contact lenses, and vision therapy at a variety of practices including Fresno VA, Travis Air Force Base, Pacific University, and a private practice in Silverton, Oregon. Before joining Eyes Of The Southwest, Dr. Newbold invested 2 years at OD/MD facilities in both Colorado and northeastern New Mexico. Prior to his studies, he served a 2-year church mission in Argentina where he became fluent in Spanish. He was born and raised in Sacramento area, California. He and his wife Jackie are raising two wonderful children. When not in clinic, Dr. Newbold enjoys reading, being outdoors with his family, and watching both NFL and college football. Dr. Newbold strives to provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population of people. Sharing a goal with Eyes Of The Southwest, he aims to make sure patients feel welcome and happy with the outcomes of their treatment.
